Our Unique Approach

At The Growing Mind, we combine the British curriculum with a Montessori‑inspired approach to help every child achieve mastery in core subjects. Through small, focused classes and individual support, we guide each learner to deepen their understanding and grow in confidence.

Children build strong foundations in core subjects, while Islamic Studies helps them understand faith and character from an early age.

Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6)

For children aged roughly 7–11, our KS2 program focuses on building strong foundations in core subjects:

English (reading, writing, comprehension)
Mathematics
Science
Geography (Global Studies)
Islamic Studies

Children learn in small, supportive groups (Years 3–4 and Years 5–6), allowing teachers to meet each child where they are and nurture confidence and curiosity.

Islamic Studies

Our Islamic Studies program is designed to nurture a a strong islamic foundation alongside academic learning. We focus on teaching the fundamentals of the religion.

Our curriculum covers essential topics including:

Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah) — the core of Islamic belief and its opposite (Shirk)
The pillars of Emaan (faith) — understanding what it means to be a Muslim
The fundamentals of Salah (prayer) — how and why we pray, fostering a lifelong practice
Basic knowledge of the Qur’an and the Sunnah that a young child can understand and implement.

Global Studies

In Global Studies, we explore world cultures, natural environments, or important moments in history, our lessons spark curiosity and help children understand the world in a meaningful and holistic way.
